New Beginnings

It is a new year and people are making resolutions just because and some for specific reasons. When you make a resolution you should be realistic and set goals that you can reach. We should set at least two goals and as you accomplish them set another two. In that way you would not be overwhelmed or feel that your goals are impossible.
Last year I did the Daniel fast for 7 days. It was a great experience. This year I am going to do the fast for 21 days. The Daniel fast encourages you to eat clean, dedicate time to prayer and spend time studying the word of God. The fast is based on Daniel 1:12-15. The Daniel fast food list along with recipies can be found at this link https://danielfast.wordpress.com/daniel-fast-food-list/
I try to eat process free as much as I can for the last two years. Clean eating is the best thing for your body. Watch for more soon. Fresh vegetables, and fruit smoothies.

  1. The fast is going good so far. Day 2 was a tough day. It was the breaking day. I experienced headaches, a sluggish feeling and I felt like quitting but I had to refocus on Isa:58 and Jer 29:11.
I have been very creative with meal preparation and verity. I wii share more later.

  2. Day 5 was better but I still need to focus more on spending time in the bible. I am going to set time in my schedule to stop and read the bible. Today my focus is to start learning Isa 58. What have I learned so far in the fast? I have learned that I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength Phil 4:13.
